About Pallavi Puri

Pallavi Puri is a vivid artist, a keen observer, a witty communicator, and a dedicated creator celebrating the rich tapestry of Indian heritage art.

Born in Delhi and raised in the cultural heart of Kolkata, Pallavi completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya and earned her academic degree from Jadavpur University. Her deep-rooted appreciation for indigenous traditions led her to establish Deesha Creations, an ethnic and tribal art studio specializing in Madhubani, Mithila, Kohbar, and Vedic motifs.

Her artistic journey spans across renowned national forums and international recognitions. Pallavi is an honored participant in the Guinness World Records for creating the largest crochet blanket in the world (measuring an astonishing 11,148.5 square meters), which was subsequently donated to charity. Furthermore, she earned the prestigious Gold Award in National Online Folk Art by Manikarnika Art Gallery.

With an intricate command over line drawing (Kachni) and vivid natural color fills (Bharni), her artworks breathe life into mythological tales, spiritual themes, and festive celebrations.
